A protective barrier reef allows for easier paddling and a chance to kayak from Kailua Beach to the Mokulua Islands, Flat Island and Lanikai Beach. Kayak through sea turtle feeding grounds, sea bird sanctuaries and living coral reef, all with the majestic backdrop of the Ko'olau Mountains. Be prepared to see the native Hawaiian Green sea turtle, or Honu, tropical fish and other marine life in their natural habitat. The Hawaiian Kayaking Adventure is an award winning Eco-tour perfect for the inexperienced, as well as the expert paddler. Experience majestic Kailua Bay with a professional kayaking guide. Our team of guides is led by 6 American Canoe Association (ACA) certified instructors with over 50 years of combined professional kayaking experience. Our guides are experienced in the ecology, history, volcanology, and marine biology of the Hawaiian Islands and carry certifications in first aid and CPR.
On this tour, you can kayak with them to their favorite 'secret' spots throughout the bay where you will discover deserted islands, marine life, sea birds, great snorkeling, kayak surfing, hidden tide pools and secluded coves. The Guides will determine the route for the tour depending on weather, kayak conditions and the ability of the group. Guides are very experienced and know the waters and islands of Kailua and Lanikai thoroughly.
















Your sea kayaking adventure begins at famous Kailua Beach. A short paddle leads you to Popoi'a Island, a protected seabird sanctuary that you may explore to observe native Hawaiian plants and animals. From there it is easy paddling to Lanikai Beach, an excellent stop for snorkeling around large coral heads and tropical fish. Enjoy the fine white-sand beach or kayak to the Moku'lua Islands. A small, secluded beach allows for landing on this protected seabird sanctuary. Wedge Tailed Shearwaters, Petrels, Brown Nodies and the occasional Albatross enjoy the sanctity of Hawaii's offshore islands and fledglings can be seen from spring to late fall. Keep the proper distance and respect the animals in their natural eco-system.
