Kayaking to Mokulua Islands

Kailua Video Gallery

This video was taken from Action Sports Hawaii television, following our 4 Hour Guided Kayaking Adventure to the Mokulua Islands in Kailua Bay. The guided kayak tour begins on Lanikai Beach, where paddlers size up their vests and have a paddling lesson. Next the group kayaks into Kailua Bay, with views of the Ko'olau Mountains. A couple catches a wave and they land on Moku Nui. Next the guide leads the group on an eco tour, around the island, to the tide pools and queen's bath, pointing our marine life along the way. The Kayakers return to the beach and enjoy a deli made lunch. After a little R&R the group calls it a day and kayaks back to Lanikai Beach. Thanks to Kau Boy Productions for giving us this movie.
Windsurf Instructors Eitan Waldinger and Devin Moody go for a blast on rental boards, in Kailua Bay. Kailua is the best spot in Hawaii for beginner and intermediate riders, and those looking for friendly conditions. Kailua can also claim itself as one of the most beautiful spots to windsurf in Hawaii. Winds are generally more consistent in the summer months, but can be good year round. Waves pick up during the winter north swells but are relatively friendly and great for intro and intermediate wave sailors.

Boogie Boarding in Kailua

A really fun morning body boarding at Kailua Beach. Two girls catch waves together and ride them into the shore. Boogie boarding is how everyone got their start, surfing kailua's waves.

Kitesurfing in Kailua

We tested the 2009 North Rebel 9M on an epic day, Jan 4th 2009. We had great fun jumping and surfing with this awesome new kite. Kailua is a very popular Kitesurfing destination, being the best place for beginners in Hawaii.

Kayakers explore the tide pool, Queens Bath at the Mokulua Islands. Next they snorkel with Green Sea Turtles or Honu around the coral reefs. Marcos is filming, one of our Kayak Guides and experienced waterman.

Sunset Surf Sessions in Kailua

Another beautiful day surfing in Kailua. Stand Up Paddlers, surfers and Outrigger Canoe Paddlers share some waves at Flat Island. As the sun sets over the Ko'olau Mountains,it appears like a volcano erupting in the sky.
