Kailua Beach Cleanup

Going to the beach is an amazing way to escape the everyday drudgery. It’s just you, the sand, and the water. Meditating quietly on the beauty of this world and how great is is to be ali- wait a second… What is that? a candy bar wrapper? Gross. And a plastic water bottle? Upon closer inspection, the whole beach is littered with micro-plastic and fishing nets!

If you’ve ever experienced this, you know how frustrating it is to visit a dirty beach. Join almost 12 million people September 16th for the largest volunteer effort to clean the oceans in the world! Check in is at 8:30 am. We will clean from 9am to 11am, but make sure to stick around after for prizes and festivities!

Bring a reusable water bottle and coffee mug, hat and reef safe sunscreen. If you don’t have any reef sunscreen, bring your regular sunscreen and Raw Elements will trade you for a sample of their fine product.

We have tons of great sponsors, and Kalapawai Market is officially on board to provide free delicious coffee in the morning!
